About usLa Hacienda Restaurante, Manuel Antonio, Costa RicaSituated right next to Plaza Yara, the façade beckons you to its covered garden terrace and jungle vista, which is pleasantly illuminated at night. Live music is offered every Monday night with either a Jazz influence or maybe an acoustic guitar theme. In high season we have live Latin music every Thursday night also. Dancing is most definitely encouraged New owners, Mark and Karen Whitmire are from Wisconsin and have brought with them their oldest son. Cody is a Le Cordon Bleu trained chef and has worked extensively in the Minneapolis/ St Paul Minnesota area for over 10 years. His many years of cooking along with his extensive knowledge of the catering business will help La Hacienda in continuing their fine dining tradition. The menu is fusion cuisine at its finest, playing with Latin American, Mediterranean and Asian flavors, but not so staunch as to eliminate favorite more traditional styled international fare in the weekly and daily specials. You never know what Cody will try out tonight for the dinner special or one of his famous dessert specials. The extensive and unique wine list was selected to provide great pairings with all dishes. A full bar offers something for everyone and features a tropical martini menu with the many wonderful flavors available in Costa Rica. La Hacienda’s freshly ground coffee is served in the traditional Costa Rican chorreador, the freshest way to have a cup of coffee, and don’t forget to add some Café Rica, Costa Rica’s delicious coffee liqueur. “Our goal is to create exceptional food combinations with lots of flavor, using the freshest of local ingredients, and to provide great service in a relaxed and comfortably chic setting for a truly unforgettable dining experience. For us, this is what we love to do most: entertain guests with superb food, wine and ambience, while still making them feel very much at home.”
